I remember Katy Perry debuting this song at the 2012 Grammy's, and I remember being all
school-girl-giddy about it.  Great song, great performance.

A week ago, she released her music video for Part of Me, aaaaaaaand it rocks my socks off.

Words of Encouragement for Creators

Ira Glass on Storytelling from David Shiyang Liu on Vimeo.  I came across this video on a blog that I follow, The Decorista.  It couldn't have come at a better time.
It's tough trying to raise and breed a blog.   It's tough to feel like you're not being recognized, and think "maybe I'm not as creative as I thought I was," or "maybe I don't have what it takes to maintain a blog."   I am realizing on a daily basis that this "world" is what you make of it.   Maintaining a blog IS the success of a blog.  Perseverance IS the only way to grow your blog.  And patience... is still a virtue.  Patience with the process, and patience with yourself.
I hope this reaches someone like it reached me today  :)

Cute Baby Alert!!

That's right... I am breaking one of my cardinal rules:  Do not chew loudly in your neighbors ear, as you would not want them to do the same to you. 

I hate loud chewing... a pet peeve I am sure I am not alone in.  Especially if it's something crunchy, like chips, or pretzels, or even worse, ice.  I apologize up front if it gives you the willies.  But.....

BUT!  My little Collin LOVES it when I chew in his face.  In fact, it's one of the sure-fired ways to get him smiling.  Don't ask how I discovered this!
